Update for Claudia and Dara’s Plans
Dear Aerium Community,
We have some exciting plans developing, and we want to share a little more about what the future may hold for The Aerium!
As many of you know, we've been exploring opportunities to expand into a new space with higher ceilings, additional aerial rigging, and more room for classes, creative exploration, and performances.
While these plans are still tentative, we're excited about the possibilities!
Dara is independently leading this potential relocation and fundraiser for The Aerium, while Claudia plans to remain at our current studio location to continue her own work, pursue new opportunities and continue her kids & teens circus program.
Although our professional paths may take different directions, we're approaching this transition with mutual respect and appreciation for everything we've created together. Claudia's plans are not intended to compete with The Aerium, and we both look forward to continuing to contribute to San Antonio's movement and arts community.
Dara is incredibly grateful to both Claudia and Cory who invested in her vision of a beautiful and welcoming first studio. The Torkelson’s contributed to helping bring The Aerium’s dream to life. Together with our instructors and students, we’ve built something really special.
What does this mean for our students?
For now, The Aerium continues operating as usual. We haven't finalized a relocation date, and we'll communicate any changes to classes, schedules, or locations as plans become more concrete.
Our priority is to make any future transition as smooth and positive as possible for everyone involved.
A heartfelt thank you
The Aerium has grown into something special because of the people who have contributed their time, creativity, encouragement, and passion over the years.
We're grateful for the journey we've shared, the community we've built, and the opportunities that lie ahead.
We look forward to keeping everyone informed as our plans develop. Thank you for being part of our story!
With gratitude,
Claudia Torkelson & Dara Minkin
